Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival & Welcome to Lamu
Take a morning flight from Nairobi to Lamu Island. Upon arrival at Manda Airstrip, a representative from Peponi Hotel will meet you for a transfer by motorboat to Shela Village. Check into your ocean-view room and unwind by the pool or on the beach. Later, enjoy a seafood dinner at the hotel’s renowned restaurant as you watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean.
Day 2 - Explore Lamu & Relax by the Coast
After breakfast, spend your day exploring or relaxing at your own pace. You can take a guided tour of Lamu Old Town, visit Takwa Ruins, or experience Matondoni Village to see traditional dhow building. For adventure, go snorkeling, kite surfing, deep-sea fishing, or kayaking. As evening falls, embark on a sunset dhow cruise, a must-do for every Lamu guest. Dinner and overnight at Peponi Hotel.
Day 3 - Morning Leisure & Departure
Start your day with a peaceful walk along Shela Beach and breakfast overlooking the sea. Relax at leisure before your transfer back to Manda Airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi, marking the end of your unforgettable Lamu experience.
